SCP: Secret Laboratory is a free multiplayer horror game. Each round, players spawn as facility staff (guards, scientists), D-Class prisoners, or the SCPs, and fight to escape or contain a breach. Your server runs full rounds for up to 40 players. It is a real dedicated server, so a session runs without anyone hosting from their PC.
How your friends join
- Server List: open Play, then Server List, and search for your server name (it starts with 2hours.gg).
- Or use Direct Connect and enter the IP and port (7777) shown on your server card.
- SCP:SL has no join password. To keep strangers out, click Hide from server list in the web console: then only people with your address can join.
Server List says "invalid signature"?
This happens to every server on the first launch after installing SCP:SL, not just yours. Quit the game and start it again: the list loads on the second launch. Until then, Direct Connect works.
Starting a round
The server waits in the lobby until 2 players are in, then starts the round by itself. Playing alone, or want to start now? Press M for Remote Admin and type forcestart, or click Start round in the web console.

Remote Admin (press M)
The Steam account that deployed the server is its owner. Join it and press M: the Remote Admin panel opens with full rights, no password. From there you can force-start rounds, kick or ban players, and use every admin tool in the game. Nobody else gets admin.
Web console
Your server card has a console that works from the browser, even when you are not in the game:
- Start round and Restart round.
- Players lists everyone with their player id. Kick with /kick <player id> <reason>.
- Broadcast puts a message on every player's screen (the same as /bc 5 <message>).
- Hide from server list and Show on server list.
- Remote Admin commands work there too: start them with a slash.
What you get
- The full round flow: containment breach, escape, and the SCPs (173, 049, 096, 106 and more).
- Up to 40 players per round (set the cap on deploy).
- The game as Northwood ships it, no plugins, so it works the day an update comes out.
